Lyrics: Wish I knew why You're checking on the time Spending it wise Measure it lines Wish I knew why You're scared of losing time Promise you’ll be fine I’ll lend you some of mine Time doesn't count here How Glorious, oh x3 I promise we’re safe here How glorious, oh x3 I promise that time cannot come here Wish I knew why You're checking on the time Spending it wise Measure it lines Time doesn't count here How Glorious, oh x3 I promise we’re safe here How glorious, oh x3 I promise that time cannot come here Breathe in and drop a gear Float through the atmosphere How Glorious, oh (Never wanted to love ya, never wanted to care) I promise we’re safe here How glorious, oh (Never wanted to love ya, never wanted to care) I promise that time cannot come here

Telly 02:40
Telly, sick watching the telly Free me, turn it off and free me After spending hours just a watering the flowers It’s a dead end Everybody's sad Is everybody sad? A little bit sad? Is everybody sad? Coffee, pass a cup of coffee Jelly, legs have turned to jelly Scored the only goal you’ve ever scored And then you notice no-one watching Everybody's sad Is everybody sad? A little bit sad? Is everybody sad? Won’t feel like this forever, won't feel like this

Hide 03:40
I couldn't quite avoid this common cold When the cookie-cutter came put us all in his mould I’ll hold my fingers up and say ‘I'm forever bold’ But in the end, we do what we’re told Hide under covers, Hide under covers Hide under covers, so we can't see What’s right round the corner Right round the corner Right round the corner I dare to think I couldn't see beyond their word play They pick our pockets and they lead us astray Our dreams accumulate as our clothes fray But in the end it’s them that pay So hide under covers, Hide under covers Hide under covers, so we can't see What’s right round the corner Right round the corner Right round the corner I dare to think You went and kissed our life away Nothing but a wasted day You went and kissed our life away You went and kissed our life away Nothing but a wasted day You went and kissed our life away So hide under covers, Hide under covers Hide under covers, so we can't see What’s right round the corner Right round the corner Right round the corner I dare to think Hide under covers I can barely breathe I don’t wanna see

about

My ‘Won't Feel Like This Forever’ EP is a collection of songs I have worked on over lockdown for purely my own sanity, therapy and enjoyment. It was a time where I think we all felt a bit lost, confused and unsure as to what the future was going to look like so I needed something to throw myself into and allow myself to be completely in the moment and not worry about what may lie ahead.

The EP is all yours for completely FREE, but it does have a pay what you like option so if you do have a couple of pennies to spare, that would be
greatly appreciated and all contributions will go towards supporting future releases, but please don't worry if not - I just hope you enjoy it and it makes you feel as chill as I felt creating it <3

I wrote Man-made time and Telly during lockdown. Hide was a song I’ve had floating around since 2017/18 and I had completely forgotten about until a friend reminded me about it and how apt the lyrics were at the time, so I dug it back up, re-recorded it and brought it back to life. I was invited to be involved in a cover swap project by tipping point where I was paired up with the fabulous Motel Carnation, who I was already a massive fan of, and had the best time doing a rendition of their song Westside so I was thrilled when the boys were happy to let me include it on this EP. Please go check out their music on Spotify!

Man-made Time is all about how I believe it is super important that everyone has something that makes time disappear - when you put your phone down and don't think about checking it again for hours because you have completely lost and immersed yourself in a project. It's something that comes natural to you as a kid, but you lose the ability to do it as well when you're older. This song is all about urging someone you care about to reconnect with their inner child.

Telly is about feeling bored and a bit sad, but almost taking comfort in the fact that it was normal to feel like that in that moment. I'm sure we all felt a bit sad, but it was important to recognise that the feeling wasn't permanent and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Writing these songs felt completely different to writing the songs I have released so far, mainly because I never thought I would let anyone hear them, so I purely wrote and recorded them for me and it exactly sums up how I was feeling at the time. It almost pulled me back to basics and reminded me why I started creating music in the first place. It's so easy when you start to release music to get caught up in how many streams you are getting, are people liking it, who is listening etc but this reminded me what was really important. Now that things are starting to return to some kind of normality, I listened back through all of the songs I have worked on over lockdown and I’m holding some back to do big releases around next year, but these 3 tracks just felt right to put out now as a little EP - as something to look back on in years to come. These are the first songs I’ve released which I have produced myself and it’s really opened my eyes to new ways of working. I have definitely developed a new found love & confidence in producing music in the process. It was great to get to work with and learn from the brain box & Darlo legend Rob Irish on these too, who felt very similarly about these tracks as me and shared my vision. He helped me pull them all together and he very kindly added some of his mixing magic to the tracks and some additional production.
